Members are responsible for advising their guests of MVP Club rules and procedures. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Members in good standing with the Club must accompany guests at all times in order for the guests to use MVP facilities, including tennis courts. Use of the facilities by a guest without the sponsoring member present is prohibited.
All guests must sign in before they use MVP facilities, providing their name, the name of the member whom they are accompanying at MVP and the membership number. All guest fees must be paid in cash or with check at the time of entry. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure the guest fee is paid. Checks shall be payable to “Moraga Valley Pool”.
All guests are required to pay a $10 for use of the hard courts or $15 for the clay courts.
Paid tennis guests may use the pool facilities during open pool hours for no additional charge, provided an MVP member accompanies them. The tennis staff will collect the guest fees for tennis court usage. If they are unavailable, the guest fee will be left in the office.
Tennis guests are limited to three people per day unless authorized by the tennis director.
Guests are only allowed one tennis visit per month during prime time hours, weekends and holidays from 9:00am to 12:00pm and weekdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. After that visit, the guest may not be invited again for one month by any member during prime time.
Please wear proper tennis attire when using MVP courts. Black-soled, running shoes, soccer cleats, street shoes or cross-training shoes are not allowed.
When leaving the clay courts please use the shoe cleaners provided at the gate and near the tennis office to avoid spreading material on the walk ways, hard courts or in your car.

Har-Tru Clay Courts
We are pleased to offer two courts equipped with lights and surfaced with Har-Tru, which is a green clay type material commonly used for courts in the eastern United States. The clay courts provide a more physically forgiving surface and provide a unique opportunity to develop skills. The softer, sliding nature of the clay helps protect the body from injury and the type of bounce allows for longer points and matches, helping players develop their strength, fitness, and endurance. No other tennis clubs in the immediate area offer clay courts. So please come out and see how much fun it is to play on clay!
