SWIMMING WITHOUT A LIFEGUARD
At MVP, adult members have the privilege to swim without lifeguards during school hours in spring and fall. However, during spring break, summer days, weekends, and after 3pm when school is on break, lifeguards will be present at all times.
Guidelines for swimming without a lifeguard:
- Members may swim only during designated open pool hours.
- Only proficient swimmers should contemplate swimming without a lifeguard present.
- We recommend that members swim with another adult for safety when a lifeguard isn't on duty.
- Individuals under 18 years of age, regardless of swimming proficiency, are not permitted to swim without a lifeguard present.
- Parents are prohibited from allowing their children in the pool without a lifeguard on duty.
- Signage at the pool entrance will indicate times when a lifeguard is not on duty.
Guests are forbidden from using the pool when a lifeguard isn't present.
Please remember that if you decide to swim at MVP, with or without a lifeguard present, you do so at your own risk. Members who wish to swim without a lifeguard must sign and return the "MVP Policy For Swimming Without A Lifeguard Present" form to the swim office.
